[/SIZE]or do you think you'll fight?
dislikes: People, animals, bad actors, those who can outsmart him, bad grammar and spelling, excessive usage of slang, the beach
strengths: Parkour, ninjutsu, acting, speaking fluent Japanese and French, manipulating people, lying, playing violin
weaknesses: Insomniac, antisocial, anger management issues, making real friends, merinthophobia (fear of being bound or tied up)
greatest fear: Dying
greatest desire: To be immortal (not a realistic dream, but still)
habits and quirks: Violent tendencies, occasionally seems to have a slight accent, hums without realizing it
overall personality: Lawrence puts on a mask of kind friendliness which he displays to everyone he meets. First impressions would show him to be a good person. But there always seems to be something a bit off about him. His perpetual smirk and silvery gray eyes seem to hold a darker meaning. That is, in fact, the case. What people see is merely his acting skills at work. He uses these skills for deception. Lawrence deeply dislikes humankind, and deceives them for his own sadistic amusement.
In actuality, he is very manipulative. With his skills of deception, he is able to bend others to his will, whether they realize it or not. He is very cunning and mischievous. He loves to toy with people and cause trouble. Once his true nature is revealed, many see him as creepy. With his anger management issues, phobia of being tied up, and insomnia (which often makes him cranky), some also seem him as being a bit insane. With his deception has also come his bad habit of lying. He rarely tells anyone the truth.
Lastly, Lawrence is actually quite antisocial. Though he often talks to people, his intentions are to deceive and manipulate them, not to make friends. He doesn’t actually have any close friends; the closest one he has is his fraternal twin brother, but he doesn’t even open up to him very much. Lawrence is more of a loner, and keeps much to himself. He doesn’t get close to people easily at all. Most don’t understand him or even try to anyway.

father: Atsushi Iwasaki Valentine, forty-four, surgeon
siblings: William Grey Valentine, eighteen, student
extended family: Unimportant aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents still living in Canada
pets: None
nationality: Half Japanese, one-fourth English, one-fourth French
birthplace: Montreal, Canada
history: Lawrence Blake Valentine, as well as his fraternal twin brother William Grey Valentine, was born on June 4 to Marie Antoinette Valentine and her husband, Atsushi Iwasaki Valentine, in Montreal, Canada. Lawrence was the younger of the twins, having been born five minutes after William. From the beginning, it was clear Lawrence was a bit odd. As a baby, things that would normally amuse children never seemed to make him laugh or give so much as a smile. Even as a young child he was not very social. He often kept to himself, rarely even talking to his twin.
When the twins were six, the family moved from their home in Canada to New Jersey in the United States. William and Lawrence began first grade in this strange new place. From his first day of school, Lawrence had his fun toying with his classmates. One moment he would seem quite the friendly little boy, and the next he would be a mean little bully. He was always careful to play the sweet boy around his teachers and other adults. No one would suspect a thing. Even at such a young age, he was already cunning and deceitful.
When Lawrence was ten, he managed to make his first and only friend. A strange little boy named Mumei moved in next door. They were in the same class too. From the day they met, the two of them were inseparable. Lawrence didn’t quite know what the difference was between this boy and the people he hated so much, but he somehow came to really like Mumei. However, a tragedy that occurred only a year later permanently scarred Lawrence. Mumei had never learned to swim. During a family trip to the park, he had fallen into the lake and drowned. Lawrence was devastated. He returned to being his antisocial self, refusing to open up to anyone ever again. He developed an intense fear of dying. If it could happen to Mumei, then why not Lawrence too? He also became an insomniac, after nightmares of Mumei’s death kept him from sleeping. Anger management issues that sprung up not long after are also attributed to this event.
The twins’ father was a surgeon, and because of this was not home very often. He spent most of his time at the hospital. Their mother, though only a florist owning a small flower shop, was also not often home. Marie did this on purpose; it was not always for work issues. Because her husband was not often home, she began seeing other men behind his back. Lawrence developed a hatred for both of his parents: his father for never being home, and for being too stupid to realize his wife was cheating, and his mother for cheating, and practically abandoning her sons at home by themselves.
Middle school was fairly uneventful, except for the family's next move. They relocated to Miami, Florida in the twins' eighth grade year. Lawrence hated it. It was way too hot, and he wasn't really a fan of the beach either. He missed having pine trees and woods near his house. In his freshman year of high school, William convinced Lawrence to join drama club. Will agreed to do it with him; he was hoping his twin would be able to make some friends if he joined an after school club. Lawrence discovered his talent for acting from this. Actually, it seemed he always used this talent in deceiving people. Drama club allowed him to enhance his acting skills (which he, of course, would put to use it toying with people). When it came time to decide his college major, he knew fine and performing arts would be his best choice.

The sudden voice sent a grimace across Naoki’s face. Hadn’t he just been thinking about how much he hated people? He wasn’t quite in the mood to be speaking with anyone. Especially someone who was going to be saying such stupid things. Nice weather, eh? was what had been said. A sarcastic little comment. And quite a pointless one, at that. But what else could he expect from those who possessed a low intelligence? Pointless conversations were the norm for people like that. Without opening his eyes, the man debated how to respond. By the sound of it, it was a child. He really hated children. They were annoying, stupid little creatures. Naoki could rudely ignore the child, glare at him until he became frightened and ran away, flat out tell the child to go away… He had many options.
But wait. The voice… it was obviously a male voice. He sounded fairly young, as well. A discreet smile quickly came and gone across his lips. He didn’t particularly mind children when they were male. And the younger, the better. Naoki found that younger ones were more vulnerable, and more willing to go along with the things he said and did. They didn’t make as much of a fuss. Probably out of fear, but oh well.
The blonde-haired man slowly opened his eyes and turned his head slightly to the side. He gave the person seated beside him on the bench a strange look, almost a glare. He had been right, of course; it was a boy. He appeared to be around fifteen. And—ohh, was he cute. The boy was pretty tall, but that didn’t particularly bother Naoki. His hair was a vibrant shade of pink—girly, but still cute. He was dressed kind of darkly, but Naoki didn’t really care about that. It was his body that mattered, not what covered it.
Naoki gave the boy a kind of smirk. “Yes, nice weather indeed...” he mused. At any other time, Naoki would never have gone along with the pointless chatter. But this… this was a completely different matter. A young, cute boy had sat down next to him and started up the conversation. Naoki wasn’t going to pass up a chance like this. It seemed almost too easy. But he wasn’t going to think so too soon. It could always turn into more of a challenge, especially given the boy’s age. He was more likely to resist, and Naoki wasn’t going to stand for that.
“I don’t think I’ve seen you around before—your name is?” he asked, wanting to know what kind of name such a cute boy could have. “My name is Naoki—Naoki Miyagi.” Inwardly, he chuckled. He obviously wasn’t about to tell this child his real last name. That would make it too easy for him to piece things together and realize the man before him was the president. He figured it was safe enough to tell him his first name, however. Naoki pushed his glasses up onto the bridge of his nose again.
