Demi walked into the bank with a check to cash in her hand. She went to the end of the line and waited her turn. It was taking forever! there were 5 people in line and only 2 windows open, one occupied by an old lady that was way to old to even be out of the house, and the other one occupied by some rich guy who thought he was better than everyone else and he checked every account that he could have possibly had at that moment. People stood around rolling their eyes as he kept making comments about how rich he was, and hitting on the bank teller, who was about 10 years to young for him anyway. Demi watched outside as two guys in jeans and white t-shirts talked to each other quite seriously outside the bank. One entered the Bank and the other stayed outside and sat at a bench, he got in line right behind Demi.
He was a good looking guy, and he smiled at Demi, she smiled back.
“Demi,” she said sticking out her hand, the guy gulped nervously and caught his cool and smiled, “Flynn.” Before they knew it they were talking up a storm until finally Demi heard the lady behind the window call next, now there was a line of people behind Flynn so she just ended with, “It was nice talking to you.” He handed her a piece of paper and she blushed, she didn’t look at it she knew what it was. She smiled and went to the window.
As her check was getting cashed Flynn got called to a different window, as he walked by her he whispered to her, “I really think you should look at that note now.”
She smiled thinking that maybe he wanted to meet up with her after they were done at the bank. She unfolded the paper to read it,
“Get out of here while you can, I don’t want to hurt you, leave before I get over to the window.”
She looked over at him with wide eyes and he seemed like a completely different person, the way he was standing she could see the gun strapped to his side, she didn’t notice it before, but he had his arms crossed the whole time he was talking to her.
He made eye contact with her and mouthed, “get out!” but she shook her head, what was she doing?
She finished at the counter with the teller and started to exit, and she watched at Flynn scratched his head and then the guy sitting on the bench entered the bank. She went up to him, “Let me help you.” She said nervously, he turned to her, he looked about a thousand times more evil than Flynn.
“Are you a cop?” he whispered as he pushed the both of them into a corner so that no one would see them talking. “No, I’m not even related to a cop," I just think that every team needs a third person.” She smiled playing with his emotions.
He wasn’t buying it, “Why?” she handed him the paper that Flynn had gave her and he nodded his head. “Okay, just play along.” He grabbed her by the arm and stuck a gun to her head. A normal person should have been scared, but Demi trusted this guy, for some weird bank robbery reason.
He walked them both out into the main part of the bank and people started to scream. Flynn was still at the window and was beside himself when he turned around. He made eye contact with Demi, she winked and he gave a half smile. At that moment all three were down with the plan. Flynn pulled out his gun and the guy holding Demi yelled, “Give us 25,000 dollars and no one gets hurt!” The bank tellers ran frantically trying to find the money and one must have pushed the panic button because in a matter of minutes there were cops outside. That’s when it really hit her, she could go to jail she was on the inside with the criminals. She stiffened, and the guy holding her looked at her, “Don’t worry we won’t let you get arrested.”
