- - - - - - - - - - a warning to the people, the good and the evil this is war - - - - - - - - - - Sasha flipped her hair out of her eyes, blinking once as she put her sunglasses on to block out the Miami sun. It was much different here, not cool like DC where she belonged. It was hot and hazy, the weather alone made her hair curl up, she barely needed her iron anymore. Another thing was the amount of sunscreen that she went through, and she went through alot of sunscreen. First she started off with SPF 20, then 40, then 70; and yet everything seemed to penetrate the goopy lotion and bronze her normally pale skin.
A leather satchel was slung over one of her shoulders, the dark brown contrasting against the light purple tank top. The only thing that she wished she weren't wearing were her jeans, the damn things were so hot in the August heat! Her heels clicked against the concrete sidewalk alone, and the chirping of birds filled the summer air. A few crys of unsuccessful surfers got her attention as she neared the beach, scanning the sand for a secluded and shady spot. She found one towards the edge closest to her where a grove of trees was growing, providing shade over part of the million-degree sand.
She sat herself down in the cool sand, setting the bag down next to her and drawing out a folder. It was just more intel that she had to pour over for her operation, whatever it might be, she still was being left in the dark. Giving up on the useless information, she stuffed it back in her bag and opened up one of the Arabic textbooks and got ready to make her first lesson plan for the school year. - - - - - - - - - - from the right to the left we will fight to the deathto the edge of the earth, it's a brave new world - - - - - - - - - - TAGGED``: Open! Demi and Tess walked along the beach looking around a people they could possibly friend. They were walking along the tree line in the shade when Demi heard something.
"Is that Arabic?" She asked Tess sure enough there was a girl probably in her twenty's reading a book on Arabic, Demi looked at Tess, "I hear Arabic, I speak Arabic!"
Demi walked over to the girl, "Salām, esmam Demi e esmam Tessa, Shomā iningilisi baladin?" (hello, my name is Demi and this it Tessa,do you speak English?) Demi knew her languages, she just wasn't very good at approaching people and striking up any old conversation without it sounding like crap. But she was working on it and she was getting better.
Demi was excited to find someone else who knew Arabic, it didn't seem like a lot of people around her did.

One minute, they're walking quietly, and the next, Demi's speaking fluent Arabic to some person, and Tess is standing there awkwardly. It wasn't like the awkwardness was a different feeling for Tess. She just put on her bright smile, and crossed her fingers Demi wasn't trash talking her.
Not that she'd expect that. It was just Tess and Demi were just becoming friends, and no full trust had been created quite yet. Sure, Tess trusted her, but Tess had been in enough friendships to know that people can backstab at any moment in the relationship.
So, Tess just stood there awkwardly, and waited.

Sasha looked up at the two people approaching her, and listened intently as one, the blonde, began to speak to her in Arabic. The teenager must have noticed her workbooks and heard her... talking to herself. Hopefully the blonde didn't understand most of what Sasha was saying, a lot of it was swearing; she had taken it upon herself to curse the Miami heat she found herself in. The operative blinked at the two girls, then shook off the surprise and nodded in response. "Yes, I do speak Arabic. I also speak French, Spanish, Farsi, Romanian, Russian and I know a bit of Latin." Sasha shrugged, "It's a lot I know." Most people were surprised when they heard her repertoire, most people could speak two languages at most, and only one of them fluently. Sasha spoke six, and she knew the basics of Latin.
But the brunette wondered why these two kids had walked up to her, who in their right mind walks up to someone in Miami and just starts talking to them? Sasha toyed with the corner of her bag, her nerves on end and her attention sharp.
The tiny part of her mind that made her paranoid decided to speak up at that point, whispering all sorts of things about the teens being the people she was looking for, or maybe they had found out what she really was. But that was impossible, no one knew where she was. Not even her family. Not even her ex-partner, who always knew where she was.

Demi smiled big, "That's awesome! I speak, Latvian, Arabic, Russian, Farsi, and Spanish." She was excited, it was hard to find people that spoke different languages let alone the ones that she spoke.
Demi sat next to her fast, "So what are you reading, have you read the Iraq war, in Arabic, its a very powerful book, have you been to Pakistan? What's your name?"
Demi was throwing out question after question, and she realized that she was coming on a little strong, why was she so bad with people?
This chick had seemed nervous upon arrival, maybe Demi hadn't picked out a good person to talk to...

Sasha flinched as the girl, whose name she still didn't know, plopped down on the ground next to her. She flipped her bag closed, concealing everything inside of it, papers and weapon alike. "No, I don't believe that I've read that book. I'm oper.... I'm uh, Sasha Knightly." She said, offering her hand in a handshake. Damn, she had to brush up on her undercover skills fast.
"I'm working on creating lesson plans for my new job, I'm working at the high school in the fall in the language department. Do either of you take a language course?" She inquired, they probably did, she was almost positive that a language course was required here.
Sasha brushed her hair to the side, stray curls threatening to fall back into her face. Stupid curls, stupid Miami, stupid stupid undercover job.
But for now, she would just deal with the teens.

Demi's smile froze, she was trying to befriend her new language teacher, well shoot. "Um, well yeah, I take all the language classes i can, maybe i, we, will get you as a teacher. I'm Demi by the way I said it in Arabic, sometimes i talk to fast."
Demi gulped, don't blow it with a future teacher, you already need to repeat once no need to do it again. Demi looked up at Tess, and gave her a 'little help here' look hoping that they were friends enough for her to realize what she was trying to imply.
Demi sat up straight and folded her hands, realizing that she was showing a hell of a lot of skin to a future teacher, she might have board shorts on but the bikini top wasn't cutting it for skin coverage. Maybe this hole friend thing was not such a good idea after all, if it's not broken don't fix it/
